The Role
The people were fantastic, the work was very interesting and I was challenged at various points. However it isn't in the sector that I want to pursue a career in at this time.
Got on very well with all the members of the team and had met up outside of working hours. Always had time to talk to people about issues and have continued to maintain contact since finishing.
Given support where needed - however I found my path by myself. The director gave me very interesting tasks and the support given was fantastic - particularly when it came to honing skills and progressing throughout my internship.
Always lots of tasks, reports to be written and meetings to attend. Never felt overwhelmed - in charge of my own work balance and had flexibility with deadlines.
In charge of various research tasks with complete independance and responsibility which I very much enjoyed. Also had the opportunity to represent the organisation at various conferences and meetings by myself and sometimes with colleagues including the CEO.
The skills were fantastic; taught me independance, time management skills and honed my communication abilities with particular attention to analysis and evaluation written to advise senior management and inform others within the organisation. Also learned to mangage my money better as well as my transport as I travelled to London several times and was more or less completely self reliant.
The Company
The atmosphere was great; people always offered to make one another drinks, there to help and there was conversation and music in the background. The people who worked there had character and great to work with.
Very well organised given that I started with little notice and hadn't even started university. There were regular catchup and meetings. In terms of making me feel a valued member of the team, and carried as much responsibility, that goal was definitely accomplished.
The human resources and financial support given to me, considering that Toybox is a small to medium sized charity was fantastic. The organisation paid for all my trips and expenses including food and transport. The directors and the CEO gave me lots of their time and the work tasks and reports assigned to me were increasingly important. I was at several meetings in London the face of Toybox and represented everything they did.

Company Parties/Events
The organisation is small and not in the sector that I want to pursue a career in. I want to go into finance and accountancy after university preferably in the banking sector. The pay in the third sector isn't appealing to me - though may be a consideration much later in my career.
The Culture
I was the only intern at that point
I lived at home and only had to cycle for about 30 minutes to get there. Busses are good there, the nightlife is fantastic and there are lots of places to go to.
Great, huge variety of clubs and bars and other activities. Caters for many age groups.
Cycling, fundraising, church etc.
