About You
Was interesting to learn although bits of it felt like work.
Everyone was friendly but it was difficult to feel valued in just one day.
The day was very structured and I knew what was going to happen throughout.
I think it was useful motivation for finishing the year but the content itself was more general.
The Company
Had a good plan for the day with regular breaks.
Everyone seemed friendly.
They included a fast track for next years internship which was good, but its hard to invest in that many people in one day.
People spoke about their personal experiences within several roles, which was good to hear about as it provided valuable insight into several different roles, and also gave a view of the day to day experiences with working in the firm, as well as some particular highlights of their careers.
They emphasised their overall company atmosphere, as well as individual speakers commenting on exactly why they chose WTW to work for, and how they felt the culture fit in with their views and allowed them to develop.
It gave a very good overview of each job area, as well as specifically what it was technically speaking, and what is required overall and day to day within many roles, which helped me find out more about different sectors in more detail than is available online.
Everything Else
I believe that expenses could be claimed up to £50 but I am not sure how one would go about claiming them.
There was a lunch break with several employees that worked in different areas to chat to and get to know better.
The lunch break networking was everything.
They spoke about a charity work project related to the company, but other than that it was solely focused on the roles.
It was a worthwhile use of a day and helped me to learn a lot about different roles very quickly, as well as understanding what it might be like to work there in the future.
