  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • It was a great experience, everyone who I came in contact with was very friendly

    • I felt well valued, we were always kept busy and had things to do

    • We had a comprehensive schedule for the week and HR were always on hand to answer any questions if we needed support

    • The skills will not be hugely beneficial for my degree, but the knowledge and skills picked up will be extremely useful for a career in banking

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well, we were kept busy all week and managed to get a lot done in such a short amount of time

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • Banking isn't know as being the most friendly of industries, but Rothschild has a unique culture. Everyone we came across took time to speak to us and seemed geniuenly happy about the atmosphere at Rothschild

    • We were given presentations to help improve our knowledge on specific divisions

    • The work shadowing with analysts was useful

    • We learnt a lot about the culture of the firm through speaking to so many of the employees about it, we were also given a tour of Rothschild historic archives

    • It has certainly encouraged me to apply for an internship next year, I am also likely to pursue a career in the industry afterwards

    • All travel expenses were covered, we were given an allowance of £5 per day for lunch

    • Yes, the networking opportunities were excellent. We had a lunch with analysts and an afternoon tea with directors
