  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Very enjoyable experience and I learned a huge amount, both about a career commercial law and the firm which is why I did the scheme.

    • A lot of effort was put into taking care of us by graduate recruitment team and department.

    • Always knew what was going on; never felt confused.

    • Very useful for future vac schemes as they give you tasks that you will be set during a vac scheme.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well set out structure, with the right balance between presentations and hands-on work.

    • The graduate recruitment team, departments and students were all very friendly.

    • Trainees put a lot of effort into helping us which was good.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • We spent time with actual trainees and lawyers so obviously gained a valuable insight into the life of a lawyer on a day-to-day basis.

    • Only 2 days, so could gain an insight to some extent into the working culture but not the social culture.

    • We got good work, spent time with trainees and learned a lot about the workings of the firm.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Very adequate pay considering only 2 days.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Had a one to one with a partner and got his business card, so great opportunities there.

    • Very strong with social events on both evenings.

    • Not really due to short span of two days.
