About You
It was a really enjoyable day, i got a good insight into the energy industry and BP as a company. It was fun and packed so there was never a dull moment and got to network with a load of other engineers.
I felt very valued, we had high level managers come to speech with us, as well as lots of snacks and drinks to make us comfortable and feel welcomed into the company, it created a relaxed environment.
We received lots of support, all are questions were answered, and we were told how to apply for a internships and placements which was extremely useful information.
No skills were learned, except for some interview practice and assessment center advice which could prove to be very useful
The Company
It was well structured with a time table and splitting into groups to maximize the time we had, it was condensed information and activities that were very very helpful.
it was a very nice and calm atmosphere that learnt its self well to learning and making sure we were able to concentrate. This was made extra useful with the wide selection of snacks and drinks provided to us.
The company invested time teaching us a little about a few roles and the operation of BP. They also taught us how an oil rig is controlled and maintained.
It gave us a small insight and we were able to chat to a few graduates who gave us a better depth. However perhaps a little more could have been spent on the day of a grad
It told us all about there key values and how they implement this around the company, it was clear that this was well spread throughout the company and gave a good impression.
It made a big difference as i had never considered the energy industry however there seemed to be a much bigger range of perks that perhaps the construction industry offers.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed all expenses which was extremely helpful.
Over lunch we had networking lunch that allowed us to chat and mingle with graduates and to chat to various members of the business. This was an extra bonus and was invaluable.
We had a very useful networking lunch that allowed us to mingle and chat to various members of the business. This was an extra bonus and was invaluable. The ability to learn and make contacts was really good.
Yes, we were told about the social aspects and different boards that help to look after certain member of the company such as women in business of the LGBT community, showed us that BP care about its workers.
Yes, i already have! it was really good and really useful for any student who would even consider the energy industry and expenses were payed so there was nothing to loss, only gain
