  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I had a variety of work to do and if there was something different I wanted to try all I had to do was ask my manager and they would do their best to accomodate

  • I really enjoyed the social aspect, I went out with people from my department as well as the other interns

  • My managers were all very open and it was so easy to ask them anything

  • At times there was nothing to do, but the department understood and I used the time productively to read the news or work on my interview skills

  • On client sites I was a real part of the audit team as I was given an area of responsibilty

  • The skills I gained varied from networking to technical skills such as how an audit is done and the accounting behind it.

  • It was serious which is how I expected it to be but there was also an atmosphere where everyone in the office were friends and could discuss anything

  • The process ran smoothly

  • There were regular social events within the department and with other departments

  • It was as I expected, not too expensive

  • Birmingham is a great city with lots of bars and restaurants
