  • I really enjoyed the variety, creativity and responsibility of my internship.

  • Great feedback and support, even though my team are very busy with little time to spare.

  • Of course there were times when it felt slow and times when it felt so busy but, on the whole, a very good and balanced workload.

  • Excellent structure with plenty of workshops and a very clear project plan.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I attended writing copy for web, google analytics, CV and interview workshops. My mentor was someone from the innovation team. I feel like Cancer Research UK gave me excellent tools to take the next step in my career (which will incidentally still be at the company)

  • I am staying at Cancer Research in an executive role, which I am really excited about and I feel leads on nicely from my internship.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It's Angel/Islington so it is expensive but a beautiful area.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I volunteered as a team leader at the Cambridge Half Marathon and there were countless opportunities to get involved in other events.
