The Role
There are some incredible opportunities that I got exposed to during my placement year, that made me feel like a valued employee. I was working with all levels of staff across international team on a daily basis, and was able to work in Finland, Sweden and France. There are many different job roles that test many different skills develop my knowledge as a marketer. I have really enjoyed my placement and have no doubt that it will be valuable in future career prospects.
I felt incredibly valued by other employees, my manager was very welcoming and I feel like I could talk to any one in the company no matter what job role they had. It was a relaxing work environment and the people are very kind and always willing to help.
With continuous on the job training, if I had any questions or got stuck it was really easy to receive guidance. My manager was so helpful and kind which made it easier to ask for help. Other team members are also incredibly helpful and easily reachable.
Depending on the tasks given. Events and campaigns kept your busy however some other jobs took less time to complete.
I have had sole responsibility on sponsorship events and other events and campaigns, however support is always there if I needed it.
The knowledge I learnt from years 1 and 2 gave me a good background insight, however being able to practically apply the theory I learnt a lot more. If anything I believe my personal skills have developed more so than my university knowledge.
The Company
There are a few virtual workers, however the office has a relaxing vibe.
With a two week handover period I settled in quite quickly. The placement process has been running for many years at Teradata so everyone knew what was going on and how I fitted into the company.
At the beginning of my placement there was a lot of on board training virtually done, we also had a number of all hand meetings.

London is expensive, however you do have to make the most of your year out. The office location is amazing and easily reachable.
Again London has many options.
