About You
It was perfect to learn about and better understand the different service lines within Deloitte. There were also opportunities to take part in various case studies such as those you undertake at interview.
There were about 50 people on the placement so there was an element of feel a little lost in the crowd. However you did also do activities on smaller groups.
We were spoken to by the recruitment team who lead the whole event. We also had the opportunity to hear from and ask questions to people who worked in the different service lines. I left the programme fully understanding each service line.
The practise interview and case study sessions were useful in gaining familiarity in such activities as well as being opportunities to improve. The information is very useful in planning for a future career however doesn't directly relate to my degree.
The Company
Very well structured, fitting lots of information into a relatively small space of time.
Really good, being sat around tables and doing work as a group made it easier to speak to others. The atmosphere wasn't too formal, making you feel comfortable.
Many of the activities offered the opportunity to practise skills useful for the interview, including a practice interview session.
Hearing from a range of people at different stages of their careers and in different service lines, you got a realistic view of day to roles as well as the career progression structure.
The ability to speak to a range of people over a course of 2 days helped to gain a deeper understanding of the culture.
I was able to leave the event understanding all service lines and being able to present clearly the reasons I wanted a career in my chosen service line.
Everything Else
They reimburse you for travel up to £50 and pay for a hotel stay
As well as speaking with employees during the days, there was a networking dinner.
They were good, sometimes a little rushed due to the full schedule but good.
