About You
It was a really great insight into the company. You have the opportunity to make some great network contacts and get a feel for whether your chosen department is the career you wish to proceed in future.
Deloitte value their employees well. They provide excellent opportunities to get involved with clients and make a difference even as a vacation scheme student.
You receive a buddy on your first day as well as a champion who oversees your time at Deloitte. They are very friendly and there to help and provide answers to all your questions.
It provides you with knowledge as to the career you decide in future and what type of company you'd like to work for. It definitely develops your soft skills and forces you to think about life after university.
The Company
It was very well structured and we were given a lot of responsibility from the beginning. We were able to obtain feedback from managers after each client helping us to see where we excelled and where to improve.
It was really fun, lots of socials to network and get to know your colleagues. You can really make the most of the opportunities they provide and become a valued member of the company.
They invested a day of training, provided us with laptops and tech to enable us to complete our job to the best possible ability even as an svs.
It is definitely somewhere I would love to work. The culture and the people make it a really fantastic place.
The company culture is very collaborative and everyone works together to help each other. Everyone is willing to help.
Although I am changing service lines, it has helped me decide exactly what I want to do as you have the opportunity to network with members from other departments.
Everything Else
Deloitte are generous in your salary and will always reimburse even as an SVS.
You are given the opportunity to network as much as you wish and people are always willing to sit down and have a chat with you.
Socials are great and really help you bond as a company and team.
The company intranet is very useful - make the most of it!
I would definitely recommend anyone to complete an SVS scheme at Deloitte. It's very insightful and will help you decide what's best for your career in future!
