  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I study accounting and finance, so obviously this assurance programme is of massive value to complement my study. I feel that I was very lucky to gain a position like this as most of the time what I learned from university is more of a textbook content. And this programme offers practical experiences.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight is well structured. I talked to employees from different sectors every day. Although I applied for assurance programme, I got the chance to learn about Tax and Deals as well. I also went to meet with a client on the final day which was definitely a fantastic experience.

  • This insight week is a great opportunity for those who are interested in a career within professional services. It gives you introduction to what you will be doing every day in the line of service you applied for. It could also lead to a full-time position with the firm if you perform well.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The insight week greatly helped me to understand PwC’s culture, which is very inclusive and values diversity. Everyone is unique within the firm and valued for their own capabilities and contributions. It is a great place to work for. Talking to the people inside is the best way to get to know what an organisation’s culture really is.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It is invaluable. There was no better way than physically getting involved with what you want to do in future. Wether it is an insight week, or an internship, it offers you an opportunity to see what the job is like on a daily basis.
