About You
I really enjoyed this Summer experience because it kept me busy throughout the summer and at the same time make profit of it, and what i most liked about this summer job was the environment and all the people i met and that i became friend. So i recommend doing a summer job because it's a new opportunity to evolve as a person and professionally as well.
I felt very valued during my time at The Esprit Group, people really went out of their way to make sure you were happy and habing fun at the same time you worked and were keen that you didn't stay till late We were treated as if we were actual employees and given good training.
This placement had given volunteers a two day training as well as an introduction day two weeks prior, so we could see what to expect and what we would do for the next months of Summer. Also, there were several workers who would check up on us and assist us with any problems we had come across.
As someone who is looking forward to working with people in the future, this work experience has helped gain an insight and further prepare me for this. Also, I have gained more skills with poeple communication and organisation of activities and events. So i think my social skills were imporved a lot
The Company
The placement had scheduled event programmes for the following weeks, and they did follow the structure well so we had not difficulties to plan our own activities with the persons. This worked out fine in the end so it was not too much of a hassle, and everyone was satisfied
The atmosphere was great, a lot of people just wanted to have fun and socialize so sometimes you didn't notived that youre at work so for me that was a very positive point that helped me to be motivated every day. And everybody get along together and we could share each other experiences so that was very enriching
In here they had made sure to train us well and supervise us along the way in case we came across any issues or were uncertain with a task. After a few days we were able to work independently manage the events and resolve issues on our own so were evidently well trained. I can't complain about the personal development.
This kind of placement was more directioned to summer jobs so I don't know how it would be to have a full time role with this company, but if that opportunity existed i absolutely woludnt mind to be part of this company, because i what i like to do is to socialize with people and having fun and make them happier at the same time so this is the right place.
Like i said this kind of company was more directioned to summer jobs, so the company culture was having fun and helping other people to have the same kind of fun, like if they felt they're in a group of close friends so the main goal is well being of the people.
The whole experience was valuable as it helped us understand the tasks and routines of working within a social group, and also made me consider a future in working within this field, because like i said i enjoy working with people.
Everything Else
It was not much but it was pretty decent in terms of the job itslef.
We had an introduction day where we socialised with other volunteers and supervisors so that we would be more comfortable with each other in the placement so there was that moment where i could met each other well and see who you're working on the events and so on. It was great.
It was very helpful in meeting new people and getting more comfortable with colleagues, as well as having a good introduction to the place and duties that we'd be doing.
Since we're having fun inside the job itself, i guess we didn't felt the need to have fun outside of work.
I definitely recommend this insight to a friend because if he want to help other people to have fun and have fun himself at the same time while improving her social skills and being a better and responsible person, this is the right placement for a summer and in the end getting paid to have fun.
