  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I had an overwhelmingly positive experience that surpassed my expectations.

    • Colleagues made considerable effort to include me in meetings with clients and social outings, and took time to teach me some key skills.

    • I had a 'buddy' on hand at all times to answer any questions, and my other colleagues were always more than happy to help.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The experience enabled me to gain a real insight into how business is conducted, which has improved my understanding of business concepts in an academic context. Moreover, I've learned how to conduct myself in a professional context in order to make the best impression.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Induction and training were well structured whereas the rest of the programme was more of an 'immersive experience' of the day to day life of a graduate employee. I would like to have been involved in some more specific projects, however the programme may not be long enough to accommodate that.

    • Very positive, I could tell that my colleagues were happy to work for KPMG.

    • We had an induction day to teach us about KPMG, and 2 days of tax specific training at the Tax Business School.

    • This is probably the best way to gain an understanding of what it's like to work full time at KPMG.
