    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I did enjoy my time in Bloomberg. It was a great experience during my time there and I consider that I gained a lot of new knowledge that will benefit me in the future. I feel like I'm a better programmer now.

  • My mentor was always ready to jump in and offer me support whenever I was stuck on something or having hard times understanding the internal achitecture of the system for example.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My working hours were pretty flat, 9 to 6. I'd say it wasn't that bad.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Even though I worked on an independant, stand-alone project, it had to deal with the current running systems. Consequently, responsibility was there towards the end of the internship especially because the project that I did was about to be used by many other internal projects of theirs.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I am confident that the knowledge and technical training that I received during my time in Bloomberg will definitely bring me a great benefit in my degree. I feel like I'm a better programmer now and also a more mature person. I will treat courseworks or uni projects more seriously and in a more mature way.

    5/5
