The Role
A very well rounded placement. Doing a graduates role as an intern! You will get a wide range of experience in marketing, sales, finance, management. Constant training throughout the whole year with huge scope for responsibility if you ask for it.
From day 1 I felt like a part of the company. Lots of team building in the first week and senior managers getting involved and taking you out for meals to feel valued. Even as an intern time is invested in you.
At Enterprise each employee is given a Mentor who is a senior manager who you can reach out to with any questions. In the branch you will always have managers present to support your development and learning.
Every day at Enterprise is a different day. Although you might work long hours the time will fly by as you are always busy either serving customers, doing admin or going out marketing.
I was given a huge amount of responsibility during my time at Enterprise. In the first week you will be given a area of the business to manage across your team. As you progress through the year you will be given more and more complicated areas to manage, Once you have completed all the exams set through the year you will be qualified as a manager. About 10 months into my placement I was left for 2 weeks to run the branch with no managers present which was a challenging but rewarding experience.
Enterprise has made me a more confident individual so when I go back to study I will be able to ask more questions. Problem solving has also become easier for me so I can look at problems in front of me and come up with multiple ways to address the problem which I found has helped me with my essay writing.
The Company
A fun and friendly atmosphere is what Enterprise aims for in the office. We all work long hours together so work becomes your second home so everyone gets on very well and we all do a lot outside of work together. I have worked in over 5 branches during my time and I've never had a dull day.
Very well set up. This is a tried and tested placement which at the end of the year creates managers and leaders of the future. Support and training is tied in with the exams and Enterprise will always push you to the best of your ability.
Monthly reviews with senior managers and your direct line management. Days at head office for specific training. A dedicated Mentor to help you throughout the year.

The promotion ladder at Enterprise is very good. Within a year you can be promoted and then depending on your ability you can easily climb that ladder very quickly. About 10 months into the Placement I was offered a position once I graduate.
The Culture
Enterprise pushes you to be social outside of work with your branch. We would often go out of for meals, drinks or activities very often. The area manager would also have an area night out every few months were its all expenses paid for which is a very good night.
Exactly the same as when I was a student, Birmingham is a cheap city to live in.
Very good. Lots of places in Birmingham to go out.
Yes over the year I have been Go-Karting, Indoor Skiing, competed in the Wolf Run and a touch rugby tournament . If you are looking for more then all you have to do is ask and Enterprise will have an event on.
