    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my 13 months with HR, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The experience has really helped my studies but has confirmed to myself what I would like to after graduation. The team is really friendly and easy to get along with. There is also a large Graduate, Apprentice and Intern community on site which helped to settle into work when moving to a new area.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt treated equally and valued as a colleague, and not just an Intern which was refreshing. This was reflected in my work which was often varied, challenging and interesting.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I would have weekly check-ins with my manager to review progress on topics, and she was also a phone call away if I needed anything. Anyone else in the office would also be willing to help if I needed advice or knowledge on anything.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I felt very busy on a day to day basis but was able to manage the workload better as I got further into my placement. This has defiantly been good experience. I would often have multiple different topics on the go and it would be largely to myself to manage my time and deliver effectively. I found new ways to keep on top of my work which often involved working with different colleagues throughout the business. If I ever struggled to balance the work, my manager would always make time for me to review my workload together.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
