    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was thoroughably enjoyable as the role was so varied, and as I am interersted in business regulation it was very insightful for the next steps in my career.

  • I felt very valued by my colleagues and even though I was an intern, I felt I was treated as an equal.

  • My line manager was very assertive and kept me on track throughout my internship.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The work varied but most of the time I had plenty of tasks and jobs to fill the day but all you have to do is ask for more work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a fair amount of responsibility in the sense I was exposed to many external firms and senior people in frequent meetings.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • For me, the networking I have done across the organisation is what will help me the most for the future, as I have had in-depth chats with people from a range of roles and career backgrounds. I have also spoken to people who have knowledge on topics useful to my final year studies at university, particularly for my dissertation.
