The Role
It was thoroughably enjoyable as the role was so varied, and as I am interersted in business regulation it was very insightful for the next steps in my career.
I felt very valued by my colleagues and even though I was an intern, I felt I was treated as an equal.
My line manager was very assertive and kept me on track throughout my internship.
The work varied but most of the time I had plenty of tasks and jobs to fill the day but all you have to do is ask for more work.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility in the sense I was exposed to many external firms and senior people in frequent meetings.
For me, the networking I have done across the organisation is what will help me the most for the future, as I have had in-depth chats with people from a range of roles and career backgrounds. I have also spoken to people who have knowledge on topics useful to my final year studies at university, particularly for my dissertation.
