The Role
Was broadly enjoyeable. Staff, including senior staff, were very friendly and approachable. The work was interesting and intellectual stimulating. Fellow interns were a fun bunch who it was easy to get on with.
Fairly valued. They took input on board and there was scope to infleunce outcomes
My management took a fairly hands off approach but that's how I prefer to work. Never felt that I couldn't ask for help when I needed it
Highly variable. Some days there was lots, others there was barely anything to do. In general I could have done with more work
Fairly large amount
Gained a huge amount of technical knowledge. Knoweldge about the FCA will be useful in applying to the graduate scheme
The Company
Relaxed and friendly, but very smart people. People would oftne just walk up to someone's desk and ask for help/advice on whatever they were working. Lots of free food!
Allocation of interns into their specific placements seemed odd and not very well thought through. Was also issues with organising pay
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Working from home
Hope to get a job on the graduate scheme. Great start to a career
