The Role
To be working for the world leaders in Business to Business demand generation was really stood out for me. i also really enjoyed my placement year because of the wide range of responsibilities its offers
I felt very valued by colleagues, the people I work with are awesome and really helpful in and out of work. I belive i have made friends for life
Astute provides you with a strong training and support programme to educate you on your campaign. The support given to me during my placement was second to none. I was assigned a buddy who I could approach at anytime if I was struggling. A weekly performance review is conducted in order to cover any areas that you need help with. This was a massive benefit because it helped identify my weaknesses to which I worked hard to improve. It also provided me with both soft and life skills for the future.
working in a target driven envrioment is great. You always have a target to hit, which keeps you on your toes
• i have taken on a few of the morning briefings • I also now buddy new starters • I’ve performed role plays with some agents, where I will sit down with struggling new starters, finding out what skills they need to develop and how we can help them improve • Finally, as a bi-linguist I have been able to work on campaigns running in Germany
The skills I have gained from working here: - Ive gained Great negotiation skills which enables me to Converse with high-level, key decision-makers, - Management experience - Advising new businesses on formation of corporations and business structures - Great database and excel skills the experience and I have gained will stand me in good stead for the rest of my career.
The Company
Astute is a young, energetic, vibrant competitive environment
My placement was very well organised, all the help you need is provided to yourself, they are also not scared to delegate responsibilities regardless on how long you have worked there, it is all about how hard you work

within the organisation, you can work your way up. You are set plans and goals to hit. with each level you get extra pay and responsibilities. for myself i started at a BDS and worked up to SBD3 L3.
The Culture
when I first started at Astute there were about 5-7 placement students. Now there are over 12 placement students here. It has been great to work with them and show them what is possible to achieve. I often talk to the new placements and ask them what their goals and encourage them to work towards pushing themselves to take on extra responsibilities. we also hang out outside work e.g. going to the beach, nights out etc
cheap and really affordable
the night lives in Bournemouth are probably one of my favourite things. Bournemouth itself is really cheap to live in and the people here are really friendly.
I participated in a few charity work.. i had a lot of fun working with Julias house. I gained a lot of experience from it and also it looks good on my CV
