  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very much enjoyed the side project we were given. My main job was easy but tasks were quite menial.

  • I was respected and my colleagues had time for me when I needed it.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I pretty much got on with what I had to do. I didn't need much support and my manager was very busy.

  • Didn't feel overworked but wasn't too bored either.

  • Very little chance to demonstrate my true capablity.

  • A very valuable experience of what it is like to work as part of RBS GBM.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office environment was very relaxed, fun and enjoyable.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • At first the internship was very well organized especially the assessment centre. Towards the end it lacked organization and there was little information on the exiting procedures.

  • I was impressed with how much was invested in us.

  • Brilliant, I was offered a role on the Graduate scheme.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Social life was another good part of the internship.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Rent was expensive, as were drinks. However networking drinks were often provided by RBS.

  • As stated, I enjoyed the nightlife!

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • A few societies. I personally got involved in football.
