The Role
I loved the team I was working in and got along well with everybody. In addition, people from other teams were very friendly and it was easy to contact someone to find out more about what they did. They organised many events for us to get to know other people as well as interns, from a community day to a boat party.
The projects we were set had a high level of importance that would make an impact on the company.
My director really took me through everything I needed to know in order to do my work well and achieve the best I could.
There were periods where my project was meeting the deadline and more work had to be done on a shorter notice but this is the same in every job, some days are just very busy.
The projects were all diverse, interesting and most importantly influenced something in the company to help reach a goal the company as a whole was trying to achieve.
Everything I did was really good to take back into my degree as well as into working life. I learnt a lot of accountancy which will help me with my accountancy module next year as well as developing my networking skills and keeping in contact with a range of people who may be able to offer advice in the future.
