The Role
The best decision I have made at university. PwC make is so engaging and rewarding from the first day that the 11 months fly by.
The first day after training I was put to client site with a team and I was made to feel like I had been part of that team forever. Outside of work, both networking and socially, you are made to feel valued too.
Any problem can be solved with a chat, call or email. Any problem was solved faster than I would have thought possible.
Peaks and troughs of extreme business, but always consistently busy. There is a busy season, as with most jobs, but this was balanced by the build up and run down.
From my first week at client site I was performing valuable work. Towards the end I could do whole audit files almost on my own.
Knowledge of practical business and accountancy skills will allow me to appreciate putting theory into practice. These skills will also help if I ever want to go in house or start my own company.
The Company
Really young and friendly office, even the partners didn't seem old! Open plan with all teams mixed together. Everyone was happy to chat or go for a coffee. Outside of work great socials.
Really good structured training and on the job learning.
Heavily invested in training. I spent probably over month month at external or internal training over the course.
Flexi Time

National Travel
Company Parties/Events

Working from home
Everyone I know who wanted a job was offered one. At the end of the graduate programme this was the same.
The Culture
Monthly office drinks, regular full office socials and away trips (skiing and hockey tour)
Living was expensive compared to university but was met by a high salary.
Good clubs and bars, which all the office knew about.
Ski trip, office away day, sport events and quizzes.
