    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I found my placement to be excellent, I learnt a lot and was made to feel very welcome by all the members of staff.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • They had just lost a member of staff and needed an extra set of hands. As I was experienced they valued my help and allowed me to become part of the team.

  • A great deal, I always felt that she was happy to give me her time and answer any questions I had.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy, I always had plenty of things to do, but did not feel pressured or over powered.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was trusted to dispense, advise customers over the counter, answer the phone and deal with queries.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I found that all the work I was doing was relevant to my course and the folder provided was helpful and instructive.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very good, all of the members of staff were friendly and welcomed me.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well, I was paid on time, my folder had already arrived at the store and I new in advance when my placement started. However, I was moved from the original store I was supposed to be at despite my asking not to be.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Very much so, I felt my my placement was incredibly valuable and am very grateful for my experience.
