    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Overall a really positive experience. A great working environment, surrounded by people who are the best in their field.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt that the work I was doing genuinely alleviated the work load of my team. I felt valued as a fellow team member and my contribution to the team was recognised.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My working environment was collaborative and supportive. I felt comfortable turning to my team to ask for advice but perhaps I should have taken more initiative personally to ask for feedback, don't expect it.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The work load was quite disparate. Some weeks I would have a really heavy work load and then other times I would have to ask for more work or try and find my own ways to be productive. As the internship progressed, it was easier to take charge of work independently but regardless, work load was dependent on the business of the team.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Understandably, it takes time to build up a relationship with your team where you can be trusted to take ownership. It was mainly within the second half of my internship that I was given a higher level of responsibility and that was great.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Time management - the fast paced working environment here as improved my reaction time towards deadlines. I'm more thoughtful and concise. Communication - How I interact with colleagues, my confidence in giving presentations and improved written skills.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Relaxed and friendly but at the same time, you are conscious of the importance of the work and the consequences. Overall, a welcoming office to be in.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very efficient team, who kept the interns well informed about any events or demands of the placement. I was aware who my point of contact was, who was easy to contact and share any concerns/feedback with.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was a great deal of time investment within the interns. Senior leaders happily take the time to chat with you and offer advice. The sense of hierarchy within the firm, whilst present is quite relaxed. The induction training was well organised and very useful.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very high - I would thoroughly enjoy a career within this organisation.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The campus recruitment team organised a few social events for the fellow interns, which was great. Additionally, the interns organised various social events amongst themselves.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is an expensive city but the opportunities for socialising are the best.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • A corporate crowd but there is plenty of places to go nearby in London.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Reasonable opportunities for additional activities; corporate responsibility days, charity fun runs...

    4/5
