    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Definitely the best summer ever. Work wasn't too bad, but HR organised a lot of events for us. Treasure hunts, boat party, loads of nights out, and even more speaker sessions which I thought were really good. The company clearly invests a lot of time and money on interns - you wouldn't get that in most places. We had a lot of training too. Managers and all staff in general really have respect for the programme and treat you as a professional. There's no intern abuse here!

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues went out of their way to explain a lot of details, and that was really great given that they were always busy.I was given good responsibility over my work too.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Manager was always keeping track of things and spent a lot of time giving me support.

  • Most days I was out of the office by 5:30

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • No responsibility over projects, but didn't expect that as an intern. This question isn't really applicable.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Improved technically - learned VBA, Excel, PowerPoint. Developed as a person too - communication is key.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was really friendly but very serious too. Work came first but people were always approachable. I wouldn't say it was 'dull' as people were always up for a laugh but at the same time it wasn't like an enormous party.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Fantastic organisation of events.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company invested way more time and money in personal development than I could have imagined. From speaker sessions to fun after-work events, it was all designed for us to develop our personalities.

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Fellow interns coming to work hungover every other day..it was good fun!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London prices are crazy - take my word for it. But interns are paid an insane amount of money to compensate..

  • It's London, every day was another bar/club
