I enjoyed my time at Smith & Williamson and would recommend it to anyone considering going into this field.
By the end of the scheme I genuinely felt like I was helping my colleagues with there work.
We were showed what to do and if unsure it was always easy to ask.
Most of the time I was kept busy and always had work. There were a couple of quieter days but this is to be expected so I cannot complain on this front.
A surprisingly large amount. In my 3rd week at the firm I was already in meetings with clients and felt part of a team on the project.
I have considerably more understanding now of how a business and its finances work.
This was the part that surprised me the most as it was always a social environment and I felt quickly involved with the team
Well organised and had no issues on this front.
We had multiple training sessions particularly early on in the internship so hope to come back in the future to benefit more from the firms investments.
I have yet to hear whether I will get a job but would love to come back as a graduate.
Very social office and all the interns got on well.
For me the worst thing about the internship as it was quite expensive working in central London (as expected), but I knew this when I applied so can't say I was surprised.
A selection of pubs, bars and clubs in the immediate area around us.
Nothing major but I managed to do a few extra things with friends.
