    • My mentor and my day-to-day manager provided me with invaluable helps and advice in everything, either daily tasks or projects. They are really inspiring.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • I have to work on many projects at the same time so my day is pretty booked from morning until 7 or 8 but I really enjoy it.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I am responsible for 3 projects during my internship of which I have to take ownership and seek way to deliver. Of course I still need advice and guidance from my manager, I still feel that I am given the responsibity to get things done efficiently, which is very enjoyable.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I have become much more skillful in both technical, networking and communication skills. These are the most valuable assets I have gained from working at J.P. Morgan.

    • Professional and busy. However, there are always people who are willing to listen to what I need to say and share with me my concerns.

    • The programme provides many chances for interns to network and learn more about the business. Training is very structured.

    • Provided training from general to team-specific stuff, which helps me to understand the business better and gain more knowledge of the industry.

    • Have not known the final result yet but based on the final appraisal, the outcome might be fine.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Interns are very willing to hang out with each other, we set up a weekly unofficial social event.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • I am working in London, which is quite an expensive city itself so cost of living is high compared to other areas. However, interns always take advantage of the "Happy Hours" to socialize with 50% off on everything so cost of socialising is not that high.

    • Nightlife in central London is always good

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • The programme always provides opportunities for interns to meet, network with others by organising various activities outside of work: Treasure Hunt, Volunteer in Leyton, etc..
