BP Insight day Review

Overall I found this day incredibly useful and definitely worthwhile. A lot of good quality information was given on a wide range of topics. The day was delivered in a way that made it engaging and interactive but also professional.

There was information given on the application process for applying to BP and this made me feel valued because it showed a want to hire graduates. Also the hospitality at the event was exceptional and everyone was very friendly and willing to answer any and all questions.

The guidance and support was good. We were catered for very well and there was the atmosphere from the beginning that all questions were good questions. It was nice to able to feel comfortable to ask the questions we wanted and network with a wide range of people.

I cannot express how useful the information I received on this day has been. It has opened my eyes too world of possibilities beyond university. Especially things I would never have considered before. The day was very comprehensive and all aspects were enlightening for different reasons.

The event was very well structured. We were given enough breaks to feel comfortable during the long day but not too many that we were bored. I always found myself engaged in something. Whether that be talking with my peers, participating in activities or even networking with professionals. The provision of a hotel the night before was great because it demonstrated that they cared about travel time for people that don't necessarily live in and around London. Making it inclusive for all.

The atmosphere was great. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The other students attending were all very like minded which made it easy to engage in conversation and participate in the group activities. The good atmosphere meant that the event was fun instead of a stifling day with strangers.

As a scholar I feel the company has invested a lot in me to which I am extremely grateful. In some ways days like the discovery day are more valuable than the money I receive from them because the experiencing this day has meant I've learnt a lot.

The insight was extremely useful in helping me imagine a full time role within the company. We had numerous opportunities to hear from people currently on the graduate scheme and also long time staff giving a huge scope of the variety of roles possible and exactly what they entail.

Networking with the staff showed a good atmosphere. The talk about the application process provided an understanding of how the business is divided into the different sections and what kind of functions these fulfill. The company values was something mentioned a lot which displayed a keen company wide focus on these values.

The content has opened my eyes to so many different potential pathways that before I wouldn't have even considered. The result of this has been to encourage me to apply for an intrrnship with this impact next summer.

This event was a voluntary event. Hotel and travel expenses were covered by the company.

Yes, this was one of the main emphasis of the day. We met numerous people from all aspects of the business and got to talk to them about there role in the company and how they got there.

The networking opportunities were nice and relaxed which was good because it meant everyone was comfortable to just talk with each other.

We had a brief discussion about the BRG's at this company and had opportunity to network with people from the different groups. However not much emphasis was on the activities outside of work beyond the basic information.

I would definitely recommend this insight to a friend because it was delivered extremely well and there was something useful for everyone in attendance.
