  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really enjoyed my one week vacation placement with Shoosmiths, it was a great insight into what life as a trainee with the firm would be like. The placement week was very busy with a good combination of delegated work from my assigned team, personal assignment work and networking within the office.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The placement was very well structured and organised, whilst still allowing for individual time management. I was provided with details of my assignments and a timetable at the beginning of the week which was helpful. The team I worked within were also very well organised and had tasks ready for me as soon as I arrived.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • There was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the office, and I found everyone to be very approachable regardless of their position. I felt teams worked well together and there was plenty of communication between colleagues, with a good mixture of work related talk and socialising. I liked the open plan nature of the office and the fact that everyone sat together, including partners and other senior members of staff.
