BA/Developer Review

the work was challenging enough to keep busy and feel tested, felt overwhelming at times learning new and varied things but has been very rewarding so far.

My team helped me to settle in and feel like I had been there longer than the 9 weeks, and felt like my inexperience was actually useful and welcomed in bringing new ideas/initiatives to the table

Everybody I networked with within my team and with other teams were always on offer to advise and assist me with any queries I had.

The first few weeks were somewhat hectic with the amount of learning and work on different projects that had to be done, especially with the external app project we had that we were not allowed to work on in office hours, however was ok once time management skills had improved. As office work begins to be finished towards the end of the internship, would have been better if we were able to work on our android app projects to keep us at same intensity for last week or so.

Was given enough responsibility and independence to get on with the tasks set to me and was invited to many meetings with business clients.

Technical skills I have acquired throughout the internship may not be as useful as they could be as my university may not be able to access the applications e.g SQL server management, but most certainly the communication, networking and organization skills will be paramount for managing my thesis next year.

Thought it was well structured and organized, especially with the networking events after office hours. However, the majority of the app project meetings were at another office, which was not ideal travelling to and from offices, as took time out from office work.

Gave us a few presentations on project management at the start of the internship but most of the learning was self taught e.g technical skills - perhaps signing everyone onto the RBS gold development and taking a few core modules would be a god way to increase financial and businsss knowledge and/or technical skills needed for IT

So far has been a great bank to work for; the rbs friendly, flat culture has a lot of appeal and there appears to be potential for professional development in many areas: development, testing, project management, business.

Was good, especially at the organized intern events however outside of work the social scence tended to centre around the bars in liverpool street!

London is super expensive and a rip off for rent!! But worth it for the jobs on offer

was good around liverpool street area but more variety would have been welcomed

Yes but would have been better to include more events that invovled the whole group of interns like the induction week, rather than just a subdivison together.
