The Role
I really enjoyed my time at L'Oreal the year was full of great experience and i learnt a lot about myself and where i want to head in the future.
Building strong relationships is key in the work place especially one like L'Oreal. I was given huge responsibility from day one and when I proved I could work independently I was given sole projects to work on.
Everyone here is amazingly supportive they are always encouraging me to ask questions about everything I do and if I am unsure they are there to help me and guide me so that next time I can ensure it is done correctly.
Although my job role varied from day to day I always had things to do and the diversity of tasks kept things interesting and meant i advanced in numerous areas.
I was given huge tasks and responsibility from day one and when I proved I could work independently I was given sole projects to work on.
I have learnt numerous skills which will help me in my life, both soft people skills and hard numerical skills
The Company
The overall atmosphere was always very lively however there comes times when big projects are due that the tone is lower and everyone gets there head done. There is a happy balance.
From arriving on my first day to the last week everything has run smoothly transitioning easily from positions as well as moving around the office was done with great organisation
I have been shown skills which were alien to me before this year and it would have been simple to out source this to an agency however the time was invested in myself to ensure I could do the job.

The future prospects within L'Oreal are constant there are always jobs being advertised daily and the opportunity to apply for the grad scheme is available and a lot of help is given if you are to apply.
The Culture
L'Oreal employees over 100 interns every year - this results in a great culture of young people in the office as well as parties and socials being organised on a monthly basis.
L'Oreal head office is in London and it is very expensive to live and travel in London, however it is only for a year and it is 100% worth it.
London Nightlight is great there is a pub around the corner where most of the office end up on a Friday after work and with intern socials occurring monthly there is always something to do.
There are numerous opportunities to get involved however they tend to be work related.
