The Role
I loved my time at Tom cody, so sad I only had 3 months there! Such a fun, inspiring studio to work in. I've been able to try a huge range of new things, from digital work to hands on screen printing! The things I have learnt over the past 3 months are invaluable for me as I go on with my studies at university. Not only did I learn a huge amount, its been a real pleasure to work with all of the girls in the studio, they made me feel welcome from day one, and gave up a great deal of there time to help gain as much as I could from this placement. They can also plan an amazing leaving do!!
I always felt extremely valued by all the girls in the studio. They really make a big effort to make you feel one of the team!
I was given a great deal of help and support throughout my time at tom Cody, and if ever I was unsure of anything everyone was very approachable and helpful.
It varied over my placement, with some much busy times, but I never found myself without anything to do.
As my placement went on I was given more responsibility.
I've been able to try a huge range of new things, from digital work to hands on screen printing! The things I have learnt over the past 3 months are invaluable for me as I go on with my studies at university.
The Company
Relaxed and friendly.
Seemed very organised.
They constantly gave up there time to show me things and go over every task.
Travel loan
I would love to be able to return.
The Culture
Everyone got on so well, there was always a great social element to the team. (Going out for drinks after work etc)
Could be done on the cheap if you were carefull
Woolwich was only a ten minute bus ride away and that had some nice pubs and restaurants.
