The Role
There was an opportunity to work on contrasting projects, providing entirely different learning opportunities - even though I undertook mine at a difficult time in the industry.
Both my line managers and teams were immediately welcoming, introducing me to the rest of the Accenture presence in the office and keen to get to know me both in and outside of work.
I worked hand-in-hand with my first line manager, and very closely with my second - learning a lot in the process
Busy. There were always things to do, either in order to meet a deadline or to improve what was currently produced.
I owned deliverables and releases in both of my projects, for which i was accountable for. Don't get me wrong, assistance was provided throughout but ultimately it came down to me.
I'm ranking this 7 purely for the fact that we don't have any tangible certifications. I learnt a lot on-the-job throughout both projects, some of which is highly transferrable to my final year modules which I have just chosen. It would have been nice to have some formal qualifications to "prove" these skills gained.
The Company
Each office was contrasting, one with a more relaxed culture than the other - but both were welcoming with a good work ethic.
Getting our admin sorted and first projects set up went flawlessly. Unfortunately there was a slight dip in the middle due to the state of the industry which was a tricky time, support at times felt limited, but when I reached out for help it was there.
A lot of personal time and development was invested in me by my colleagues in the office - only complaint is that I didn't get any tangible certifications to prove my skills.

It's a great scheme which builds on the experience of an intern - completing an internship gives the chance to hit the ground running. One of the most valuable out there.
The Culture
With 48 colleagues on the scheme, there were a few events throughout of note - particularly the Christmas Party at the National History Museum. With such large groups though, whole scheme events were a bit of a rarity. However you only had to text a few people to get a good group together.
Coming from a small town university to the big city was a bit of a shock to my bank account. We're compensated fairly, but life in London can be very expensive dependent on what you did.
More social than uni, better than uni. It was great.
Yes, in particular i represented Accenture in the Corporate Tennis League & Corporate Games, as well as running a Digital Connect Workshop on a charity day and helping out our Apprentices in the Movement to Work scheme,
