    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I really enjoyed the three day placement at Nomura. It really opened my eyes to the goings on of an Investment Bank and definitely influenced me on future career prospect.

    • Everyone was very nice and welcoming. At the networking lunch especially, everyone was happy to answer questions and give advice on their experience of investment banking.

    • Yes Lucy and Stephanie especially were both very helpful and were more than willing to answer questions.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I think it definitely will assist me, particularly the practice interviews. It was helpful to see the sorts of questions which we will more than likely have to answer at any interviews later in life.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • I was surprised by how structured the days were, as I have done placements elsewhere where there has been barely any structure at all!

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • I was worried that everyone was going to know everything and more about investment banking but I was glad to see that we were all pretty much in the same boat. The atmosphere was very welcoming and I would love to come back at some point in the future!

    • There were lunches in which we could network with other people from different areas of the company

    • They were really good, but it was a bit stressful trying to eat and talk at the same time!
