The Role
The internship exceded the expectations I had of it.
I had some really positive feeback from my colleagues and felt valuesd as a team memver from day one.
My manager was very keen to spend time with me and to make sure I was ok. Team members were also very supportive and made sure I had all the help I needed. Positive attitude to help me.
Some days I was very busy and others I did ask for more work to do when there was a lull in my various projects.
I was given a lot of responsibility from day one - including speaking to a customer without any guidance and producing a presentation for the Ice Cream Leadership Team
I have learnt a lot about the business, the industry and about my personal strengths and developments during this placement.

The Culture
This area could have been better. We socialised a lot within our teams but there was little structure from the Intern Co-ordinator side to make an effort to arrange anything. We did this ourselves and we very much enjoyed it as all four of us got on really well.
In Leatherhead there is no nightlife but we made an effort to go to Clapham and places in London so it wasn't all that bad.
A lot - in my first week I attended a charity sports show and I was also asked to join in with a dodgeball tournament.
