  • It was a good experience, but I soon realised that this area was not an area in which I wanted to pursue a career in

  • I think I played an active part in the team dynamics, and I think this was reflected in the respect that I obtained from my colleagues

  • I found that senior management were always keen to help when approached, and expressed an active interest in me and my placement

  • The work load was intense but very rewarding

  • fun seeking department which understood the importance of completing designated tasks in a relaxed atmosphere

  • On the whole, it worked very well, but there were times when senior managers did not know about the scheme.

  • Initial training was excellent, as it taught the basics of markets and excel etc.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Some of the interns got together on a regular basis

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The cost of living was ok, as I live in London. They contributed towards the cost of living, which was good. Socialising also around Canary Wharf was excellent

  • Not much of a club scene, but many bars and food outlets

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were intern socials, organised by the bank aswell events organised by other interns
