About You
I really enjoyed my insight programme. The atmosphere was friendly, the employees easy to approach, and there was not so a much sense of hierarchy but more of a collegial approach to working relationships between employees.
Very valued. I was given a good number of tasks to complete which furthered my understanding of the financial world and also helped with a good delivery of my project presentation at the end.
I received a lot of guidance from HR, my manager, my buddy, team members as well as employees on other desks and divisions. If I ever I had a question, there was always someone I could ask at some point.
I started learning how to effectively communicate mathematical concepts and ideas during the insights and I believe as I improve this skill, giving technical presentations during my degree and beyond, in the work place, will come easily
The Company
Very structured. A programme booklet was given beforehand with times, dates and location. A Microsoft Outlook Calendar also confirmed these details and if I was unsure about a certain event, I was able to ask HR and get a well-timed response.
Relaxed and friendly. Approaching people to ask questions was easy and they were always willing to answer and explain anything I did not understand.
I was given a FX trading manual to read, attended business overviews, had several desk visits, an interactive trading game and several conversations with employees in the firm.
To a good extent.
Representatives of the HR department talked to us about the company code and culture and this was demonstrated by all the employees I met.
Very valuable.
Everything Else
Yes, there were.
They were great. We had lunches and drinks and got to network with current employees in the firm.
Yes.
Yes, I would.
