  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The Allen & Overy vacation scheme was extremely well organised and there was a good mix between social events, talks, assessments and learning opportunities. It was such a good way to meet people from the firm and find out what it was actually like to work for a magic circle law firm.

    • Graduate recruitment were just so warm and welcoming. A&O reputation as a friendly firm is truly accurate!

    • There was support if you wanted it but there was also no mollycoddling. People wanted you to try things for yourself.

    • There was a lot of skills development involved. We had to do a client pitch exercise, a number of research tasks and written assignments. It was a very good way to sample the skills required of a good lawyer.
