    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Intern program had good structure and gave an insight into all areas of the business.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Depended on the person. Some were uninterested in me and ignored me, others really engaged and always had time to talk to me

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Team was supportive.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There were slow days when I was just getting on updating a chartpack, but there were also exciting and busy days, but nothing stressful.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was allowed the freedom to explore my own project, and was responsible for analysing some trade proposals. If you wanted more responsibility, you could probably get some more.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Useful insight into the industry - but not too helpful for my degree.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Asset management isnt exactly the most fun you could have over summer, but if you are interested in it, you can get really good exposure as an intern here.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • HR was good!

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I feel like a lot of effort and money has gone into developing this intern program

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    Healthcare from home

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • strongly encouraged to apply for the next years grad scheme.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • They paid for 2 socials for the interns and there was a good number of interns for going on socials.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • City is expensive! Interns went to cheaper places.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Everywhere is full of suits, but to be fair, you are one of them.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Internship too short to get involved in any meaningful way.

    1/5
