The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Accenture
I certainly felt that I was part of the team and by no means did i feel that i was unappreciated. I got good feedback whenever I did something that my line manager was impressed with
I was part of two projects during my time here and both managers gave me so much support and guidance - not just in my work within Accenture but also general life in my future career and studies
It varied - some days I would be very busy and be at the office until 7 or 8pm however there were days where i found i had nothing much on my place and would often ask around whether there were any jobs for me to do
I was surprised by the amount of responsibility i was given at Accenture, what was even more assuring was that they trust you with the responsibility and encourage you as an individual to develop
Certainly there will be skills such as excel, powerpoint, and communication skills which I will carry forward - however some of the technical stuff I learned on the job which were project specific won't be so useful outside Accenture
The Company
Relaxing atmosphere. My first project I was in Angel office and there was a general good, youthful vibe. I really liked FCS too
Very well organised, we had a week induction and then thrown into our projects. Only criticism however is that as I was placed on a project with a bank I had to go through a PES Clearance which meant I was at home doing nothing for a week...but not really complaining :p
In induction we had an Microsoft excel sessions and learned the basic/advance parts of excel, apart from that not much else
Subsidised/Company Gym
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Very appealing starting salary and a prestigious name to work for
The Culture
Yep - went out a couple times with fellow interns for drinks
Its London so was expensive but salary more than covered it
Bars everywhere - on Fridays we would have 'Champagne day' with the senior managers
I played football a few times with the analysts/consultants, christmas party was fun too
