The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement to the extent where I want to pursue a career here in the future.
I feel as though I have been an asset to Accenture. On many occasions I was told how I brought motivation and enthusiasm to the team, which shows that I am deeply valued by my colleagues. I was also invited out on many occasions and we were more like a family then just a working team.
I regularly have meetings with my manager on a 3 weekly basis. This was to cover any work that I was doing and any work that I could improve on or to take on more tasks. This was also to review my time on my internship in which we my manager helped develop my objectives and self-input further to show my value creating, people developing and business operating skills to Accenture in order to illustrate how I am a credible asset to the team and to Accenture.
I wasn't always busy, I regularly had time to help others with their tasks and take on other roles as well as my own. This was great because this meant I could be flexible with my working tasks and I became a multi-tasking, efficient, all rounder when it came to the team, I could take on anything in any skill area. However, on some days I am/was busy, and when this is the case, busy simply means busy and there is not a lot of time for lunch (but it makes the day go fast).
I was given quite a lot of responsibility right from the get go. I was thrown in the deep end and just learnt whilst on the job. But, this is the best way to learn, no time is wasted and work is produced efficiently and effectively. Technically "I was running the show" as I ran several meetings on many occasions, which built up my confidence and allowed me to take on more responsibility.
I cannot explain how grateful I am to have learnt the skills I have. I have certainly developed further in several software and project tools, which will only assist in my future career with the ability to take on tasks already knowing how to use the tools. In terms of my degree and my studies, I will be able to prioritize tasks with great efficiency, apply my understanding of the ways of working within a business to my studies in business management and ultimately I will simply be able to a apply mu knowledge that I have learnt, developed and grasped in my studies and beyond. #skillsforlife.
The Company
The atmosphere was welcoming at all times, sometimes tense but mostly fun.
My internship/ placement was organised incredibly well, with the HR team continuously aiming to send out invites to events and informative information regarding future career path opportunities to a maximum standard. They perform very well and Accenture is a great company to work for.
Over the course of my internship I attended several online training courses in order to develop my knowledge further. In regard to personal development, the company invest their everything into believing in the individual; I held several "brown bag" sessions in which I created a presentations based on technological innovation and presented this back to my team of over 20 people including managers and senior managers.

I have applied for a pat university scholarship as I hope to join Accenture when I graduate.
The Culture
I occasionally attended social events with my fellow placement friends.
The cost of working in London is obviously higher than most. Generally, Accenture pay for team events and socials, which meant this didn't effect me. In terms of buying lunch, it was quite expensive so I made this an occasional thing.
It's great in London.
Endless opportunities. Join Accenture and you will find out. There is every type of sports club to join and lots of team events that are also held.
