  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was always good fun and interesting with very little time to spare so never time to feel bored or underworked!

  • I have got on very well with everyone I have met and all have been welcoming and eager to help.

  • Always available to ask questions or set more work and would solve any issues that arose.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Busy enough to be working all day but not too busy that I would need to stay much later than the rest of my team.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • It's hard to say how much of what I did will be used by the team and which were for my learning but there were certain tasks that I know were used there and then which was very satisfying.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Finished my dgeree but obviously everything I have learnt will be useful for pursuing a career in finance.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A combination of it being summer and a particularly turbulent period in the markets meant the atmospehere was at times highly pressurised and at others a bit slow.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised with lots of networking and social events as well as a strong rotation programme with interesting projects.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Being a small intern class meant that we received very personal training, an excellent level of exposure and a lot of time and effort invested in our progress.

  • Still have two weeks of the internship left but would love to be offered a position...

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Everyone has been great fun and we have got on very well as a small intern class. It has meant we have got to know each other and has made it a very enjoyable experience.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Central London is obviosuly not cheap but it has never caused an issue.

  • A lot of networking and social events as well as charity work.
