  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Enjoyed it greatly. Everybody was very welcoming, friendly and helpful during my time there. This was reflective of the company culture in place there.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • Felt very valued by my colleagues. After a month or so I was given numerous responsibilities which entailed reports that needed to be sent to our Global HQ to participating in numerous projects to help meet various objectives set for your department.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • Fantastic support right throughout the placement. Everybody was very friendly and approachable and with the offices being open planned, it meant that you always had some form of support. My line managers in particular have guided me through a range of tasks and taught fantastically.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • Usually quite busy with a range of responsibilities to carry out as well as usual day to day tasks. There was the odd quiet day but usually kept busy.

    • I believe that my line managers had confidence and trust in me to carry out a range of tasks.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I think they'll help greatly as I've been able to obtain experience of office life and working in a professional environment. My learning on this placement was well rounded so I was able to learn a lot of new skills.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • Always an upbeat atmosphere. As it was open planned it meant everyone was open to conversion/help and not hidden away somewhere else.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

    • As we were the first placement students at RCI it was new for them too. I felt it was very well organized and the training was quite well structured.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • I felt the company invested a great amount in us in terms of training and development. When I asked to have experience of another department, this was set up for me with relative ease to further assist my learning.

    • At the moment there is no structure in place to offer a graduate role or a job offer after graduation.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Not just the students, but a lot of the full time staff are social too.

    • It's Watford, so a fairly typical night out.
