The Role
It was an extremely enjoyable albeit challenging 12 months. The learning curve was steep and I received all the support I needed from each of the project team I was collaborating with.
I felt like a valued team member and was given high level of responsibility from the outset.
I got all the support I needed and more. Everyone was willing to talk to me/help me out/listen to me whenever I asked for it.
I was always busy. Depending on the nature of task and timeline, yes I had downtime but I kept myself busy by attending extra workshops and taking on more tasks if I had time because I wanted to learn more.
I feel like I was given quite a lot of responsibility. It wasn't too much though, I felt like it was what was expected of me.
Needless to say the skills I've developed in these 12 months are invaluable to both my personal and career development. Organisational, analytical, communication, and problem solving skills (for starter) are applicable to every arena of life.
The Company
Depended on the project I was in but it was generally serious, but not intimidating, busy and work-conducive environments. The people I worked with were friendly and open though just sometimes not in the office.
Very well organised, the HR team gave us free-reign I liked that we had autonomy over which projects we were to join.
I feel like I got all the development and training that I needed but only because I pushed for it. The one week training prior to the start of the placement was relevant but I feel that more time should have been allocated to skill building (presentation and networking) than the group work.

Very appealing. Accenture is a great place to work.
The Culture
Yes definitely. Everyone values work-life balance and most, if not all, of my colleagues were amiable and knew when and how to have fun. I played tennis and badminton with the out of town project team. We would go out for team dinners quite often as well.
London is expensive, everyone knows that.
Great party scene in Newcastle, London and Manchester (where my projects were based)
Plenty. Both with Accenture people and in the city. I was part of the Accenture tennis team and during weekends I did my own thing with my housemates in London.
