    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] It is central HR's uttermost responsibility to evaluate the actual need, fit and readiness of each office to take in an intern. Travel to each location to get the look and feel first hand. Travel expenses will be inevitable but avoiding "bad business" saves more money. When asked specifically during the recruitment process whether this location has a processes for interns in place, be honest. Don't assume that a global presence equals standard procedures throughout.. • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • ´Fast completion of ad hoc administrative work was much appreciated by my colleagues. However, no feedback when it came to other tasks.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] No introduction whatsoever to the business. Having to pick up bits of information along the way creates a scattered picture of expectations and responsibilities.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • After having given a few "projects" I soon came to realize that I had no ownership of themafter the initial process created by me was in place. No access to the data in the projects despite repeatable requests for system access sent to manager.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • First three months there was none. Should I have gotten an introduction about where the business stands, its challenges etc., I would have been far more proactive. However, as mentioned above, the managers, supervisors and co-workers were far too busy or just unwilling to take ownership of intro.
