The Role
My placement was fantastic. I really enjoyed it and meshed with the staff who made me feel a part of the tream from the moment I started. I really had a fantastic time at my placement and end extremely enjoyed it
I felt extremely valued by my team members. I was very much included in real life jobs and was asked to do the same work as full time members of staff. I felt valued and they valued my help and assistance. When I was needed I was approached as a valuable member of the team
I was given support when I needed it. It was important for me to not disturb others when i needed help and find and appropriate time. With that being said I had a lot of people I could ask not just the immediate team but I could Skype a lot of the extended teams that were even in other countries
I always had work to do. I was never left to feel bored or like I had nothing to do. There was always somethings I could get myself stuck into. I had a lot of things to do and a lot of things I was involved in there was not a time I feel like I didn't have work to do
I was given a lot of responsibility. I was treated like a full time member of staff and I was given the freedom to get on with and control large scale projects and I was trusted enough to do this on my own. There was a lot of responsibility that came with this. It was fantastic
Doing a placement was the best decision I have ever made. It has helped me with planning my work and organisation it has also helped with grounding me and my concentration in my final year of university which is very important and was something I lacked a little of in second year and first year of university
The Company
The atmosphere at work I found was genuinely a very vibrant one. we were like a family of people who not only worked hard as individuals but also found time to inject and have fun whilst we were getting work done. It was definitely a fun and inviting environment for me to be a part of and there was not a day that there was a negative or boring atmosphere all throughout the day
My placement overall was a well organised one and the things that we needed to do was set out for us. We first took part in online training sessions that would give us the knowledge we needed to work well and be safe at work as well as in house training sessions at a later date whereby we could learn face to face, ask questions and have interactive time with one another and the trainee
We were given the opportunity to develop. This was done by giving us freedom to explore and take control of the day to day projects we would be a part of. We were allowed to grow our confidence levels and had scope to increase our personal development this allowed me to grow myself and to develop my knowledge and confidence in and out of the workplace

Working from home
I would definitely consider going back to Teradata as I have found myself learning and developing a lot. It was a fantastic team and environment to be a part of and I took away a lot of priceless things from my placement which helped me learn a lot about myself and the working world as a whole any place that can do this is worth going back to for more rediscovery and building which I fins fantastic
The Culture
The social aspect of my placement was fantastic there were large scale events set up for the staff where they could interact with businesses that they worked with and for. There were also fantastic social team nights out where we would all go out and have fun and also lunch breaks where we would gather to speak. We had a fantastic social aspect and the team was always up for having fun and a laugh
It was perfectly fine for me as I moved back home to live with my family. Although transport did prove to be quite expensive it was not over whelming as I cut costs of rent by moving home which was great for me. I felt not pressures some others moving to London may face as I was rent free. The socialising costs were more than the midlands but what you would expect for central London which was fine for me
The night life was fantastic and vibrant being in London Bridge meant easy access to many places as well as having many places to go to eat and to drink. The nightlife I can say was honestly fantastic and there was always somewhere to go or somethings to do the social aspect was never lacking. And if there was somewhere not available there would always be somethings to do not even 5 minutes away
There were many opportunities to do extra curricular activities outside of the workplace as a team and as individuals who were just friends. There were also opportunities like coding clients and socialising with clients outside of the workplace which was a famtastic opportunity and a fantastic thing to be a part of. I'd say there were many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of the work place
