    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed it! Though, during the second half of my placement I felt there wasn't really anything I could take on extra because my team felt they didn't have anything to give me.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I did feel valued. I really helped out my team during month end especially.

  • I was given lots of support whenever I needed it.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was really busy during the first half of the year when I was still getting used to my role. But during the second half when I was more used to my role I was much freer.

  • I was given a lot of responsibility, I was given key tasks.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I was much more organised returning to my studies and I definitely could see how the theory related to the real world.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Really comfortable and friendly!

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was very well organised. During my first week there I had a handover period from the last intern so he could give me a step by step guide on how to do my tasks.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • At first they did. But when I got used to my role and I was more free to take on more tasks, they felt they had nothing more they could give me.

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    2/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I'm not entirely interested in working in GE anymore because I am interested more in finance than accounting.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes we would go out for a meal together or to the movies every week.
