    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed the team banter, I think, occasionally I felt like the 'skivvy' but to be fair, that was just when I had to some of the menial filing. The varying work and dealing with interesting members made for a great experience.

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues were great, team spirit was the best thing about the job because everyone is young and up for a laugh.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My immediate manager was great and head office were brilliant at being approachasble, the area manager lacked a bit in terms of valuing my opinion and listening to my concerns.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • With my branch it was definately feast or famine. That just meant I appreciated the quiet times because the busy times were manic.

    1/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responisibilty which is when I thrived. Renting cars isn't rocket science and I felt quite capable when I was given extra responsibilities.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Definately worthwhile, I developed my sales skills tremendously and this will definately improve my CV and has given me real life business experience.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Office banter was top notch! Because everyone is just out of uni, everyone relates to each other and in my brach we gelled really well!

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There was a really good structure in place and clear targets set out which gave the internship a purpose and some value!

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company were certainly keen to develop my skills and saw the internship as an investment which made it really worthwhile.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Car

    Company Parties/Events

    2/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I could definately come back and get a job after uni, however I probably would see what else I could get first as the hours are very long and can be fairly thankless as a lot of the branches are under-staffed.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Social scene was good, because everyone's young people like to go out and so thee is definately a decent social life.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I was in a main city but I live there as a student so got all my student discounts.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Decent, loads of nightclubs etc.
