    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • American Express is a really great company to work for. Over my internship I was given great training, interesting projects and the opportunity to work with some fantastic people.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Both my team and the HR team were extremely welcoming, I was emailed prior to starting outlining exactly what team I would be working in and on what project, it was a really seamless onboarding

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had great exposure to senior leaders who were also happy to give the interns some time to introduce themselves and ask them questions - which was a great networking opportunity. My manager had weekly catchups with me and was very focused on helping me with my development and the director of my team also had bi-weekly meetings with me to catch up. I was also assigned a busy in my team and a grad buddy which was great to have a more informal contact for support and to ask questions to.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was assigned my own project to work on and it was ultimately my responsibility to obtain results

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
