  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Obviously varied depending on the day but very enjoyable and worthwhile on the whole.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Very welcoming team, willing to explain the big picture so I wasn't left wondering why I was doing certain things.

  • Very supportive people manager and in charges were usually approachable and friendly.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were very hectic, some were a bit slow, nature of the job!

  • Felt like I was entrusted with fairly important roles but never felt swamped or unsupported.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The hard actuarial and IT skills will be very useful, the softer skills such as teamwork, client facing skills and documentation, etc will also be beneficial throughout life.

  • Good atmosphere for the most part, depends on where you sit and how busy people around you are!

  • Very professionally done for the most part. Organisations/structures were by and large all in place.

  • PwC place a lot of value on their people, this was evident even as a summer intern.

  • Offered a job on completion so very appealing!

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Could have been more events organised but timetablses didn't work out ideally, that's all.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Much cheaper than other places, such as Edinburgh!

  • Not really my scene.

  • Perhaps more for graduates than interns.
